Full reviews after the jump...

Movie:
Quiz Show (1994)
In Short:
A best picture nominee at the 1995 Academy Awards, Quiz Show was actually a film I had never even heard of until I recently somehow stumbled on to Robert Redford's (who directed the film) IMDB page.  It tells the story of a 1950's game show in which the contestants had the answers given to them ahead of time, and the backlash that ensued.  The film tells an interested story, and the acting is superb.  However, a long run time and too many slow moments in the plot prevent this from being all it could have been.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
7.0/10

Movie:
In Short:
Lethal Weapon is the undeniably the quintessential 80's action comedy.  Mel Gibson and Danny Glover complement each other perfectly and I couldn't help but laugh at the abundance of 80's stereotypes that filled the film.  If you've never seen it, make it happen, and if you have, rent it again.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
8.0/10

Movie:
In Short:
Something Terrible...Something Awful...Something Painful...Each of these would have been a more appropriate tile for this dud.  It tells the story of law school friends who have been in love for years but have never had the guts to make anything happen, so they wait until weeks before the groom's wedding to start sleeping together behind the bride's back.  No likeable characters (outside of John Krasinski) and a plot full of infuriating moments make this one of the worst films of 2011.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
2.0/10

Movie:
In Short:
I ran across this list of the Top 20 'Final Destination' kills on Total Film the other day and it inspired me to start re-watching the series before I see Final Destination 5.   If you take the films for what they are (5 to 10 over dramatic kill scenes with filler scenes jammed in between), then you'll enjoy them.  The first features plenty of these kill scenes, and has the most plot of any of the films in the series.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
6.0/10

Movie:
In Short:
Much more gory than the first film in the series, and with a couple more kill scenes.  The plot is all but non-existent, but it was awesome kill scenes I was looking for...and it was awesome kill scenes I got.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
5.0/10
