OLD SCHOOL REVIEWS: 15 May 2011

Quick rundown of all the movies I watched recently:
Hitch (2005)
No Strings Attached (2011)
The Dilemma (2011)
No Country for Old Men (2007)

Full reviews after the jump...

Movie:
Hitch (2005)
In Short:
I have a giant man crush on Will Smith,  but even he can't push Hitch over the edge. Ridiculous plot lines and over the top dialogue even out Will's appeal and lead to an average Rom-Com.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
5/10

Movie:
No Strings Attached (2011)
In Short:
Surprisingly enjoyable, Portman and Kutcher make a great on screen pair trying to be friends with benefits (which happens to be the title of a movie with the exact same plot staring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis coming out later this year).  Pretty standard love story made better by its leading couple.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
7.5/10

Movie:
The Dilemma (2011)
In Short:
Absolutely awful.  I'm sick of Vince Vaughn and Kevin James has never done it for me.  A script that never makes you give a damn combined with offensive humor and no likable characters leads to this turd from Ron Howard.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
1.5/10

Movie:
No Country for Old Men (2007)
In Short:
Top 5 of all time.  The Coen Brothers are the kings on incredible dialogue, and No Country has their best dialogue to date.  Javier Bardem is the perfect villain, Tommy Lee Jones is amazing as usual, and Josh Brolin gives his first of several Oscar worthy performances in recent memory.  As close as you'll get to a perfect movie.
Bagpipe-o-Meter:
10/10
